What is Happening With the Saba Rock Boating Accident Case?

It’s the question a lot of people are asking.

Over the past several months, we’ve received an incredible outpouring of support, love, and encouragement from those following Stephen’s story and the mission behind Slow Is Pro. Many have reached out asking what’s happening with the case, and we want to take a moment to thank everyone for continuing to care so deeply.

While there’s not much we can publicly share at this time, we want you to know that the case remains active and we’re hopeful that things will begin moving forward soon. What we can say is that the Slow Is Pro mission — the part we can all take action on — is gaining real momentum.

This year, we officially launched Slow Is Pro at the USVI Charter Yacht Show with our Sip for Stevo event, raising an incredible amount of funds and awareness for safe boating practices. Thanks to the generosity of our community, sponsors, and partners, we’ve been able to expand our impact faster than we ever imagined.

We’ve begun working closely with government officials and marine police to develop a new, community-driven tool that will allow captains to anonymously report unsafe or reckless behavior on the water. This initiative will help create a “neighborhood watch” for our harbors and bays — empowering responsible operators to take part in keeping everyone safe as well as creating a sense of accountability on the water.

Additionally, we’re proud to share that we distributed Emergency Action Sheets to all vessels attending both the USVI and BVI Charter Yacht Shows this year — a major milestone in our mission to ensure that crews have the right information at their fingertips in the event of an emergency.

Slow Is Pro is more than a campaign — it’s a community movement. We’re committed to honoring Stephen’s legacy by creating lasting change in the maritime world and ensuring that everyone who enjoys these beautiful waters can do so safely.

We’re just getting started — and we’re so grateful to have you with us every step of the way.

Stay tuned for more updates soon.
